With supporting of ISOC Armenia Chapter the SmartCity NGO organized IoT classes for teenagers using Arduino and Raspberry Pi controllers.
A well-structured curriculum helpe students understand and learn the necessary skills to build IoT projects. It included:
Theoretical course – This course help to understand the value of using the Internet of Things for businesses and how they can help through smart product and data collection.
Participants get the knowledge about IOT architecture, communication systems, IOT platforms and visualization solutions.
Basic Practical course – this course help to get basic knowledge and experience in smart electronics design.
During the course it is shown, how to work with different development boards such as Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi as well as connect with them a lot of sensors and actuators.
Advanced practical course – During the course, students get acquainted with the main components of IoT systems, MQTT brokers, web servers, as well as other components of IoT systems.
The practical cources also include projects that students can work on to apply what they have learned.
Technical support – To improve students’ IoT skills and experience they takes internship. Selected participants during this internship:
- worked on creating training articles on implemented IoT projects and solutions
- had the opportunity to participate in the implementation of state-of-the-art IoT solutions, such as lighting automation, automatic temperature control in Smart Home and Smart City projects.
During the project implementation, 20 participants received basic knowledge about the design and development of IoT devices.
The best graduates of the class continue to work on smart projects in the laboratory.
